- Do we process any sensitive personal information? No. We do not process sensitive personal information.
- Do we receive any information from third parties? No. We do not receive information about you from third parties. Through YouTube API Services we read only our own channel's public totals, never information about individual viewers (see section 5).
- How do we process your information? To provide, secure and administer our Services, to communicate with you, and to comply with law.
- When and with whom do we share personal information? Only in the specific situations and with the specific service providers described below.

1. What information do we collect?
In short: we collect only the personal information you provide to us when you contact us, and the technical request data our host needs to deliver pages.
Personal information you disclose to us
If you email us (for example about partnerships, licensing, press, a correction or a privacy request) we receive your name, email address and whatever else you choose to include. There are no forms, sign-ups, accounts or purchases on the Website.
Sensitive information. We do not process sensitive information.
Information collected automatically
- Hosting. The Website is a static site hosted by Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel processes technical request data (your IP address, browser and device type, the page requested, the referring page and the time of the request) to deliver pages, keep the service secure and prevent abuse. See Vercel's privacy notice.
- Everything is first-party. Fonts, images, the short muted Show Me Television intro that plays on our homepage, styles and the small script that runs the menu are all served from our own domain. Nothing is requested from a third party until you follow a link.
- No tracking. We do not use cookies, local storage, analytics, advertising identifiers, session recording or fingerprinting, and we do not build profiles of visitors.
Links to other sites
Links to our partners (including showmetelevision.com), the App Store and Google Play take you to services with their own privacy practices. Links to partner sites carry campaign tags (for example utm_source=nothingtoreport.org) so the partner can see the visit came from here. Those tags describe this site, not you.
2. How do we process your information?
In short: we process your information to provide, improve and administer our Services, communicate with you, for security and fraud prevention, and to comply with law.
We process personal information to:
- deliver the Website and keep it secure, including detecting and preventing abuse;
- respond to your inquiries and keep a record of the correspondence;
- handle corrections, takedown and copyright notices, and privacy requests;
- send you administrative information, such as changes to our terms and policies, where you have written to us;
- comply with legal obligations and establish, exercise or defend legal claims;
- save or protect an individual's vital interest, such as to prevent harm.
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not send marketing email unless you ask us to.
3. What legal bases do we rely on to process your information?
In short: we process your personal information only when we have a valid legal reason to do so under applicable law.
If you are located in the EU, the EEA or the UK, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and UK GDPR require us to explain the valid legal bases we rely on:
- Consent: where you have permitted us to process your information for a specific purpose, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Performance of a contract: where you write to us about a licensing or partnership agreement.
- Legitimate interests: to deliver and secure the Website, and to answer correspondence you send us, where this does not outweigh your rights and freedoms.
- Legal obligations: to comply with law, cooperate with law enforcement, keep required records, and exercise or defend legal claims.
- Vital interests: where processing is necessary to protect the vital interests of you or a third party.
Digital Services Act (DSA) compliance (EU)
As a digital service provider whose Services are available in the EU, Show Me Television affirms its compliance with the European Union Digital Services Act (EU Regulation 2022/2065). We provide accurate trader information to our platform partners, clearly identify commercial communications, provide clear information and accessible support, maintain internal procedures for complaint handling, corrections and lawful takedown notices, and cooperate on audit and transparency requirements. A full record of our DSA policies is available on request from contact@nothingtoreport.org.
If you are located in Canada, we may process your information where you have given express or implied consent (for example, by replying to an email you sent us), and, in limited circumstances permitted by law, without your consent (for example, for fraud detection, investigations, or where required by law).
4. When and with whom do we share your personal information?
In short: only in the specific situations described below, and only with the providers that run the Website and our email.
- Service providers: Vercel (hosting) and our email provider, only as needed to run the Website and answer you. Personal information is never sold, transferred or used for any other purpose.
- Our affiliates and partners: if you write to us about a partnership that involves API Automations, Leanback Digital or Civic Forecast, we may share your message with them to answer it. We will tell you if we do.
- Business transfers: in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business.
- Legal requirements: where we are required to by law, or to protect the rights, property or safety of our users, the public or us.
Nothing to Report is editorial-first, not ad-first. We do not sell personal information, we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we have not done either in the preceding twelve (12) months.
5. YouTube API Services and the platforms we publish to
In short: Nothing to Report uses YouTube API Services to publish videos to its own YouTube channel and to read that channel's public statistics. We never request, access, collect or store information from your Google or YouTube account.
- What we use. The YouTube Data API v3, under authorization that Show Me Television grants for its own channel, @nothing2report. We use it to upload our videos and set their titles, descriptions and cover images, and once a day to read our channel's public totals (subscribers, views and video count) and each of our own videos' public counts (views, likes and comments).
- What we do not do. We do not ask viewers to sign in with Google or YouTube, and we do not access, read or store any viewer's account, profile, comments, watch history, identity or demographics.
- Storage and sharing. The public counts are stored in our own database so we can report on the channel, and kept for as long as we operate it. They are aggregates, not personal information, and we do not sell or share them. Our authorization credentials are kept on our own servers and in our deployment secrets, never in a browser or in public code.
- YouTube's and Google's terms. When you watch or interact with Nothing to Report on YouTube, you are using YouTube and you are bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of your information is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
- Revoking access. Our Services never ask you to grant access to your Google account. If you have granted any application access to your Google account, you can review and revoke it at any time on the Google security settings page.
- Limited Use. Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Other platforms. We also publish Nothing to Report videos to Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and Bluesky through their official interfaces, under authorization for our own accounts only. We do not receive information about the people who watch them beyond the public counts those platforms show everyone. Each platform's own privacy policy governs what it collects when you use it.
6. How long do we keep your information?
In short: we keep your information only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this notice, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law.
Correspondence is kept as long as needed to deal with it and any follow-up. Hosting request logs are kept by our providers for short, fixed periods under their own policies. When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will delete or anonymize it, or, if that is not possible (for example, because it is stored in backup archives), securely store and isolate it from further processing until deletion is possible.
7. How do we keep your information safe?
In short: we aim to protect your personal information through appropriate organizational and technical security measures.
The Website is served only over HTTPS, with no third-party scripts. However, despite our safeguards, no electronic transmission over the Internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so we cannot promise or guarantee that unauthorized third parties will never defeat our security. Transmission of personal information to and from the Services is at your own risk, and you should only access the Services within a secure environment.
8. What are your privacy rights?
In short: in some regions, such as the EEA, UK and Canada, you have rights that give you greater access to and control over your personal information.
These may include the right to request access to and a copy of your personal information, to request correction or erasure, to restrict processing, to data portability, and to object to processing. To make a request, email contact@nothingtoreport.org, and we will act on it in accordance with applicable data protection laws. We may need to verify your identity before acting, you may use an authorized agent where the law allows, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
If you are in the EEA or UK and believe we are unlawfully processing your personal information, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection supervisory authority.
Withdrawing your consent. If we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time by contacting us, though this will not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
Opting out of messages. We send email only in reply to you or when you ask us to. You can ask us to stop at any time by replying to any message or by contacting us; we may still send messages necessary to complete something you asked for.
9. Controls for Do-Not-Track, the Global Privacy Control and the Global Privacy Platform
Most browsers and some mobile operating systems include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") setting. No uniform standard for recognizing DNT signals has been finalized. We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC), the IAB Global Privacy Platform (GPP) and similar Universal Opt-Out Mechanisms; when such a signal is received, we opt you out of the sale or sharing of personal information, disable personalized or cross-context behavioral advertising, and limit collection and use of data for targeted marketing or profiling. Because the Website does none of those things, there is currently nothing for these signals to switch off. If that ever changes, we will apply them automatically and update this notice first.
10. Do California residents have specific privacy rights?
In short: yes. If you are a California resident, you have specific rights regarding access to your personal information.
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), California residents may request to know what personal information we have collected about them, its sources and purposes, and who we have disclosed it to; to correct or delete it; and to opt out of its sale or sharing. California Civil Code § 1798.83 (the "Shine The Light" law) permits California residents to request, once a year and free of charge, information about the categories of personal information we disclosed to third parties for their direct marketing purposes; we make no such disclosures.
The California Code of Regulations defines a "resident" as every individual in California for other than a temporary or transitory purpose, and every individual domiciled in California who is outside the state for a temporary or transitory purpose. We have not sold or shared personal information, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16. California residents under 18 may ask us to remove content or information they have posted to the Services; the Website accepts no user posts, but you can email us about any correspondence.
11. Multi-state privacy rights (U.S.)
Under the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), Colorado Privacy Act (CPA), Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA), Utah Consumer Privacy Act (UCPA), Connecticut Data Privacy Act (CTDPA) and similar state laws, residents of these states have additional rights. As a U.S. resident, you may, twice every 12 months, request: a copy of the personal information we collected about you in the previous 12 months; details about the categories of information we collect, our sources and our purposes; deletion of your personal information (subject to exemptions); and to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, targeted advertising and certain profiling. We do none of the latter.
Show Me Television has not sold personal information to third parties for a business or commercial purpose in the preceding twelve (12) months. To exercise these rights, email contact@nothingtoreport.org. Upon receiving an opt-out request, we will act on it as soon as possible and no later than fifteen (15) days from submission. If we decline a request, you may appeal by replying to our decision with "Appeal" in the subject line; we will respond within the time the law requires.
12. Children
The Website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email us and we will delete it.
13. International transfers
Show Me Television is based in the United States, and our service providers operate globally. If you contact us from outside the United States, your information will be processed in the United States and wherever our providers operate. Where the law requires it, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, for those transfers.
14. Do we make updates to this notice?
In short: yes. We will update this notice as necessary to stay compliant with relevant laws.
The updated version will be indicated by an updated "Last updated" date and will be effective as soon as it is accessible. If we make material changes, we may notify you by prominently posting a notice on this page. If the Website ever adds analytics, forms or anything else that changes what this notice says, we will update it before the change goes live.
